a 1/10 might do the job if your tank doesnt get too hot, but a 1/5 would be better, with a 1/5 the chiller wont have to work as hard

I agree the bigger chiller is the better way to go. I have a 1/10 on my 58 and in the summer it runs almost all day long. If it were a bigger chiller, it wouldn't be cranking hot air into the room all day.

But since I got a great deal on it used, I'm not in a hurry to uprgrade.

I have a 1/4 hp Current tower on my 72 bow. It is awesome. Check with the guys at saltwater critters. They're running a sale on them.

I really like the jbj 1/10 i got on a 75, it doesnt run to often unless its really hot in the house. Ive always been able to find good deals on them online, seems to be very very reliable and one of the cheaper ones ive found

Before you invest in a chiller ... how hot does your room get? Do you run the A/C? Have you tried to cool your tank down with fans (you get alot of evaporation, but it's a cheaper alternative)?

Chillers are $$$ and eat up electricity. Might as well try other options first. Just a thought.

In either case ... I personally don't run one ... but know a number of people that use this one. As been stated the 1/10 will run more ... but cheaper then the 1/5HP chiller.
