hi. i need to catch a sixline wrasse in my tank. i have tried two different traps but the fish is too smart for it, now i have no choice but to go with nets. is there any nets that are healthier for fish? i wish i could cup it out but you know it is impossible to chase a fish around in the tank with a cup :)

any advice on how to catch it or what nets? tia

I use a net ant a large specimen container to catch fish. The idea takes patience but basically only use the net to chase the fish into the container.

If the tank is small enough (rare these days!) you can just drain all the water, pick up the fish and refill the tank.

you COULD chase it to one side of the tank then insert a tank divider. Keep sliding it over lil by little untill you can net the fish easily :)

I've never done this... but it sounds good haha..

Rubbermaid-type food containers work great for that....a square one is better when the fish wedges itself into a corner.

Good luck!
