After looking around at tanks and realizing how much space is available to me, I've started looking at Nano Cubes. As far as what Im aiming for, basically just easy to care for sps's to start with. I've ended up with these 3 on the list but not sure which way to go. From all the places I've read about them, it seems most people end up changing something on each, especially the lighting when they start moving to different coral and such:

29 Gallon Oceanic Bio Cube. Includes: Integrated Wet-Dry bio-filter. Dual action cartridge and pump included. Built in surface skimmer Coralife Lighting 36 watt 10,000K & 36 watt Actinic 03 3- 3/4 watt Blue LED moon lights.
Prices around $250

24 Gallon Aquapod, 70W HQI Metal Halide System - Includes: Surface skimming filtration system, 1 -14000?K HQI Metal Halide light, 6 blue and 6 white LED lights, cooling fan, mechanical sponge filter, 290 gph submersible pump with flat nozzle, and complete instructions.
Prices around $300

24 Gallon JBJ Nano cube Deluxe, built-in 3 stage filtration system, standard with two 60 x 60 mm cooling fans, (2) 36 watt combo bulbs and remote ballast, 290 GPH submersible pump.
Prices around $200

Sapphire aquatics makes skimmers/HOB fuge's for these 3 products so if I wanted to add on to them later I could. Does anyone have any of these? if so, what do you think of it, pro's, con's?

You forgot about the finnex. it blows aqua and jbj out of the water. has a fuge thats optional. And the extreme reef edition comes with MH and a skimmer that actually works.

Its a really nice nano. Regular version = the pricing of the aqua and JBJ. MH version is around 350-500 for the 24. Adn they have a 32g version which would be more stable than a 24 and the MH version of that is around 550$ + stand. Little more pricey.

If you go jbj or aqua your gonna kick yourself in the rear for buying 4 months down the line. I dunno about the aquapod with the hqi, thats a first i heard of it.

seen the 250w version on one of the sites for 530$. If you get a hob fuge, and mod the JBJ or aqua for a HOB skimmer thats the 530$ right there. Plus your getting a 200$ lighting fixture ontop of it.

Think we have two reefers with the tank so far and everything i seen them post about it is it ownz. =0)

nanocustoms and premiumaquatics has them both i think, might be wrong.

oh and i contacted finnex about the tank about 2 months ago and they said that the new version of it was out late nov/early dec. so. look for that.

I wrote to them today, asking for a list of dealers, surprisingly its harder than I thought to find aquariums online.

You saw the 250W version of what, the finnex or one of the others? I know nanotuners has a bunch of what looks like modded light covers for the nano cube, in addition to their DIY kits, but think I want that seperate lighting setup with the legs (think they're they HQI's?)

Premium Aquatics carry them, and I heard they are going discontuine the glass model, so I am not to sure if that's true or not... Ask brooklynreef for a link of his tank. He got the Finnex 30 Glass model also.. I think he got it for about 2 months already..

yeah I sent him a PM, read his thread he started a few months ago. tried to follow that link you put but its leading to an error.
I found the FI-MTG2401 model, both of them, but I dont think I've ever seen any of the nanos come with 250W light setup. and now the fiance is really wanting me to change my mind and considering a bigger bow front (she decided she can part with a table in the living room which would be enough space for a tank, think we saw a 65G at a LFS a few days ago, but not exactly sure how big it was). she doesnt like the way the nano's look. I dont know whats gonna drive me crazy first, figuring all this stuff out, or her changing her mind every other day lol

would anyone in the area be willing to let me see their Nano? Im in amityville, which is on the border of nassau and suffolk so Im sure most of you are around the city. Id just like to actually see it setup in a home and all. still debating between nano and a full setup but the more homework the better
thanks
