I noticed this thing in my tank last night while shooting the blenny photos. I think it's a budded BTA!!!! It's only about 3mm tall, so very difficult to say (the thing it's trying to injest is a piece of pellet food about the size of a bb), but it sure looks like a BTA to me!! :D

Fairly sure BTA's don't drop buds... the split (fission) or sexually reproduce. It could be a majano, although there are a few other smaller, tentacle bearing critters it could be as well (I don't know the names, but I have some like it, but they are hot pink or orange on the tips and clear bodied).

Kinda cool though to find something new in an older tank huh?

That's what I'd thought about BTAs as well (fission rather than budding), but this one acted so strange, losing almost all its tentacles (but otherwise remaining healthy), I dunno what's going on. Majano was my 2nd thought as well, but I haven't had problems with them in the past. I've got some of those little clear-bodied things too, so I may have just stumbled across a juvenile one of those...

Who knows, but you're right Wade, very cool :)
