Hey all at MR,

Been lurking for a few weeks and just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Live in Great Neck, just over the Queens border and have had my nano cube 24dx 24g for a month or so. Got a zoo rock, some shrooms, and 3 fish: 6 line wrasse, blue neon goby and a purple firefish (still hiding, but fine) Also a cleaner shrimp. No CUC yet - nothing to eat.

I already agreed to buy some zoos from another member here and I wanted to know about these meets/swaps that happen around NYC. Where can I get some info on this or get added to a mailing list? Would love to go and see what's to see.

Some pictures of my setup:

Welcome to MR. Good luck with your new tank...

How did you cycle your new tank? Looks like you've got a lot of LR, which is great IMHO (ask anybody who's seen my tank - a glass box of rocks!)... But before adding too much more, make sure your system has some time to mature!

again, just my humble opinion! (I tend to err on the side of patience...)

There's a swap in Westchester next week. Search for the Westchester frag swap thread. You'll find it!

Cool.

I am a huge believer in "understocking" and "underfeeding."

I have a 55 gallon (will be upgrading to 75 very soon) with only four fish and soft corals... I will never have one of those tanks that is teaming with fish and glass wall to glass wall corals. It's not what i see when I dive, it's not what I want in my tank.

On the other hand, I do love looking at tanks of folks here at MR who've got EVERYTHING packed into their glass boxes....

it's all a matter of philosophy - and money!
