question #1 What is the best hang on skimmer to use for a 55 gallon?
question#2 do i REALLY need another filter other than the skimmer ,ie,,cannister/hob,,etc
question #3 will ordinary reef rock slowly turn to live rock if it is mixed in with live rock?
quetion # 4 how deep should my substrate be(using aragonite sand)?
question#5 Is 260 watss 50/50 flour. blue actinic enuff to grow most corals in the 55 gal?
question#6 Do i need to use dechlorinator if I use a RO unit?
Im sure more questions will follow as time passes !,,,,,,thx for any help

1. I would say a coralife super skimmer or the PM HOT 1 or Remora
2.No, however, a power filter is good for holding carbon and the like.
3.Yes
4.That is a complex quetion. Do you want a DSB(Deep Sand Bed) or just a little substrate for a natural look with little or no biological benefits?
5.What type of flourescents? VHO, T5, PC, or NO?
6.I never have and it should not be necessary in most cases.

With the PCs will be fine for Softies and many LPS. No clams or SPS.
