Newly growing sponge

I literally take about an hour or 2 to look over my tank everynight especially 2 rocks that have red mushrooms on them (Thanks Ink) this morning on the smaller rock there is now a 1x2 inch patch of Pink Sponge that wasnt there last night, im 99% sure it wasnt because when new things pop up in the tank i take pics immediately.

My questions are can a sponge grow that fast? I just added a new batch of Nitrex to it could that have anything to do with it? Is Pink sponge a good sign?

Does my pic look like yours? I can't believe how fast they are growing. Nearly dobled their size since that post and started growing on the back glass.

The same exact color as your pink sponge except mine is a little more dense then spread out. I swear it grew over night. I'll post a pic tonight when i get home from work.
