I have seen this video and many other diy videos by him and this method is good for freshwater tanks, Dual head dosing pumps can do better job when it comes to auto water change IMO...

Yeah if this is the video i remember seeing, he just makes an ATO for his freshwater tank from his incoming water...i believe he has a well so no chlorine issues.
