Not enough light for Cheato?

Hey guys,

I have this light over the fuge section of my sump..
Coralife Mini-Freshwater Aqualight With 2-9W 6700K Lamps


Is this not enough light to support cheato?? It doesnt seem to be doing well. Right now i have the light on from 7am to 10pm.

Appreciate any input. Thanks

It should be opposite to what your daylight hours are.Maybe it's not getting flow or enough nutrients.

Ill switch the photo period.. i thought you just wanted it on at night for heat issues though? Tanks stays between 78 and 80 even with all teh lights on at once.

Its def getting enough flow. As for nuitients, im not sure. Nitrates are undetectable..

If it's turning white on you,dump it cause it's starving as for the night time,Most of us have our lights off at night so you then have the fuge light on during those ours.
