I have always used the prepared Nurti-seawater in my 10 gal nano.. It claims it has natural Live marine Heterotrophic, Autotrophic and Chemolithotrophic bacteria to provide your tank with a proper organic balance. And it claims to replace missing natural LIVE marine bacteria, trace elements and critical nutrients. But now that i have the 10 gal plus my 28jbj, paying 20 for 4 gal is getting pricey.. So i bought(and won at the raffle) esv seawater which i use for the first time this week.. My main question is:
Do i have to buy some sort of bacteria as well as trace elements to dose in my tank now since i have been using nutri-seawter for the past 5 years and they claim to have bacteria/critical nutrients?

I highly doubt that premixed water thats sat in a jug sealed will give you anything that the esv salt mix doesnt. Ive used ESV salt since about 2 weeks after my cycle. I started with IO reef crystals- went through a 160G bucket and then switched to ESV. Havent had to dose anything until just recently( a week now). Just started with the ESV 2 part and ESV mag because I have a bunch of LPS and SPS that are now depleting my levels. I love this salt and I think you will like stated by house call them if you have any questions but is easy to mix just a few extra steps is all. Good luck with it
