I noticed the bottom of my oceanic stand has warped from absorbing water. This makes me very nervous, do you think in their infinite wisdom oceanic would take some spills into consideration and only make the front of the stand out of particleboard?

1. Was anyone successful in getting them to provide a new stand based on warranty repair?

2. If they screw me, what is a good stand to buy for a 90gallon bow front?

I have no idea how old it is, i bought the tank used, it was in perfect condition as the original owner had the sump in the basement, but I had a little sump flooding accident and now i see the wood absorbed a lit of the water and is much thicker on the bottom where the water was. I reckon its not too good.. Would like to know my options for another stand. I am not goint to build anything myself, so please dont suggest that.

If you dont want to build one yourself but feel new atan is needed: get a custom stand made or buy another factory stand with dimensions you would need for you tank. Always an iron stand too

I dont know if a new one is needed... I just wanted peoples opinions: Are the saltwater tank stands designed to withstand a little salt water or are they so flimsy that they need to be replaces after one spill.

I am nervous about 90 gallons of salt water winding up on my floor

I bought one from tttony while ago, im sure if you post wtb stand. Someone would gladly contact you. I have made few simple ones too. Ned saw and drill really and simple plan. The beneft if custom or diy is making cabinet to fit your equipment

Thanks, a photo of the swelled up area would show us how bad it is, probably just needs to be dried then glue a few new peaces next to it. My stand for my perfecto 220 swelled up on the bottom after a few sump overflows . The stand was made of oak pressboard , the only support was the two end panels.a week after I noticed it I made my new stand with a 2"-4" frame skinned in 3/4" oak plywood

Can't say I blame you for building a new stand, most of these companies that make stands use compressed wood.id rather build one and over kill it for self reassurance.
