Hey guys so I've been thinking about upgrading to a 300G Deep Dimension and I was concerned about my sand. I have a nice 4-5" sandbed right now and I pretty much would want to do the same thing in the new tank but I don't want to buy 500lbs worth of sand. If I wanted to keep the sand I have now would I be able to use it in the new setup somehow? I don't think I would be able to simply just scoop it from one tank to the other due to this tank being set up for almost 2 years and a half now. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks Fortunato

I would rinse it really good with a garden hose. Youre not going to make enough RO to sufficiently clean the sand. My opinion is that any phosphates that will be left behind from the tap water will be better than the phosphates etc that will be stirred up when you transfer the sand. Its going to take a whole lot of rinsing to get the sand clean. Work in small batches.
