You guys have any comments on this camera? I've been thinking of pulling the trigger. I need to upgrade my Canon 300d. I'll probably end up staying with Canon.

Wish i can give you some info, but i can't. Isn't that their attempt to enter the DSLR market? I hear it's pretty good. But i would stick with what's proven. If you're a canon guy, stay right there!

I LOVE my 20D.

I got it, the cheapo 18-55 mm, and a sigma 55-200 from ebay for $990 shipped. Less than the price of the body.

Now that the 30d came out, people are dumping their 20 and 10d's for the new body.

If you're up to spending real money, take a look at the 5D.

You see the thing is I love my Canon for SLR but I've always used a Sony for a P&S. All the way back to my 1.3 FD-88, yeah the one with the Floppy Drive.

Like i said, that's a new camera on the market. I am pretty sure you will be ok with it. I just don't see where the point and shoot relationship is. You said you love the canon for SLR, so why not get another canon SLR? Just about any camera will do for P/S!

I like sticking to what's proven. Heck i loved my old olympus P/S, did i get an Olympus DSLR? Nope, i got a Nikon! Get my drift?

If you need a good deal on a camera you can always try www.slickdeals.net. they always seem to ahve some sort of great deals on them. I usually check them out 3-4 time a day.

good luck on that camera. I actually know nothing about it.. but it sure does look hot.
