Well we just got done at Georgia Aquarium, and I have 60 pictures so if theres anything you want to see a pic of just ask. It was a truly awe inspiring spectacle. Instead of the usual 3 or so coral reef tanks most aquariums have, Georgia Aquarium has one masive tank filled with fake and real corals. The real corals consisted of fire coral, monti caps, leathers, hammers, frogspawn, zenia and more. All of the fish from the tangs to the Moorish Idols were huge and fat.

Great pics! Would love to see the rest. We have no public aquariums to compare to this over here...

Sorry we just got back, we hit a blizzard coming back to Florida! My first one! One thing I have to say about the corals is I noticed the monti caps were very prosperous mid tank (about 6 feet down) at the same level that the frogspawns and the leathers were getting huge. There were leathers all the way at the bottom and the zenia had huge colonies at the upper parts of the tank. There was a lot of brown algae at the top which the tangs were loving.

That last pic is a "wow" looking at the scale of the man in the foreground vs the whale shark

lol I know right? There are 4 whale sharks and we got to see them being fed. I have a few pics but theres not too much detail since they were off in the distance being fed. They anticipate the sharks being about 35 feet long since they are growing about 2 feet a year. The huge stingray they said will be about 25 feet wide before long enough. 8O

Dammit, where are the tang police when you need them! That tank is big enough for 738 tangs, max. I can see at least 756. :x

Seriously though, I really want to see this in person!

Amazing. 8O Must have taken for ever to fill that place with water. Fun trip I'm sure. I love going to places like that. My wife and I went to the Atlantis in the Bahamas a couple of years ago. They have something called the big dig there which is very similar. Great time.
