Does anyone have their Outer Orbit fixture hanging using the two wires? If so, can you adjust them easily making them go up and down? If it is possible to move them up and down, how do you do it? pull on the wire?

Thanks

Not sure I can explain this correctly...
Is this the one you have?

Bascially a lot of these work the same way. Yes, you can adjust the height of the light with these. Although it doesn't show in the pic, there is usually a little piece where the wire goes through the upper silver cylinder type thingies (I can't think of a word to describe them..lol) that you press down on and it releases the wire so you can adjust it. (works best if you have 3 hands..)

I personally can't say that I would move it around much as a usual thing. I have these on my T5 fixture and after a while, the wire does start to 'wrinkle' from the adjustments. Mine also has 'locks' on it for extra insurance.

..excuse my dust, but I had to climb up on a stool to take this pic...

this is one of mine...see the doo-hickey at the top- that releases the cable on mine. The other small piece with the 2 screws is the lock, not entirely sure if it is for extra protection, but I assume so. Have never had an issue with them :)

Thank You so much for the information! I was deciding if I should get it hung or not because when I have to do water changes, theres not enough space for me to pour water into the tank and usually it ends up in spills all over the floor. So I was hoping I would be able to bring it up and down.

Only problem I found out is that right above my tank is a metal pipeish thing that connects to my boiler room so I can't drill holes into that. I'm going to have to move it if I want it hung.

Thank You for the pictures!
