So im finally starting to work on the new system I had been building out of 50 gallon rubbermaid stock tank but I'm having some issues with the overflow keeping up with a jebao dcp 3000 on the lowest setting. I had drilled the side of the stock tank for schedule 80 3/4" bulkheads. outside both bulkheads go to a 90 degree barb fitting then to black vinyl tubing.

The overflow starts off fine, then gets easily overrun by the jebao pump and seems to clog. I tried drilling an air relief hole in the top of the overflow tube but on the inside of the bulkhead because I dont have much clearance on the outside.

Wondering if there is anything else I can do before I purchase the supplies to put a 1.25" bulkhead as the drain if that may seem to be my only issue.

I'm working on uploading pictures now.

I've thought about trying to put an air hold in the barbed elbow fitting at the top as a last resort, but it is a very tight fit under there which is why i havent yet.

Well looks like im going with the 1.5" drain now. Ordered the bulkhead from brs and some fittings from supply house so I should be able to get a fix in next week.
