depends on what you are doing. Get a good artist that can duplicate what you want on canvas, and I would go for the oil anytime. Oil will outlast your lifetime. If you put in on some good belgian linnen(probably misspelled that, cant spell) its almost indestructible as far as deterioration is concerned.
