Dana, the review was useful, and well written, at the end of it i would have liked to see you write, this is the cat's meow or proceed with caution. c'est la vie! as far as using the unit in a deep tank 30" do you have any sepcial reccomendations, i got some ideas from the kind folks at PFO but would appreciate your take.

My 60" Solaris got here today, and it is a wow . . . there is a learning curnve i have to go through wth placement in my new system, but this is one impressive peice of hardware.

I was surprised by the addition/replacement of two green leds per segment, but according to PFO they will help in the lighting of the corals, i cannot wait to get stocking this tank, i am confident that this lighting system will provided amazing effects.

my favorite part of this deal is the "theatrical" lighting that most closly mimics natures lighting. never before has it been this easy or more over possible to light an aquairm with dim up / dim down and control both solar and lunar cycles -

With the fixture up and running for all of six hours now, there has been no heat gain at all, in fact the fans on the unit have cooled my tank by one full degree.

I will post photos soon, but if anyone needs my opinion on the Solaris LED System, it is is an obvious must have!

Glad to hear that you're so happy with it!

What corals are you keeping in the system? I'd be very interested to see pictures of corals kept under these lights long term (seeing the same system in pictures six months apart, say).
