PH fluctuation question....

I notice that my PH probe reads about 7.9 at night then between 8.1 and 8.2 sometimes higher or lower during the day . Is this safe for the nighttime drop?If not what can I do to change it ...or does it naturally occur this way and am I worried for no reason?? Thanks Sal

It is fairly common. Are you running a fuge? If you run a fuge with the lights on a reverse cycle from your display tank it may help with the ph fluctuation level but there will always be some change in pH.

Thanks Chief ! Yes, I do run a fuge so maybe I will try that but is it something that I should not even worry about? The tank is in my room and I hate the fuge light on at night ....:bigeyes2:
