Hmm, so it's a tube with end caps, barbed fittings, a nipple for the CO2, and bioballs. A reactor may work. One like this would be best (no tube down the center), just add the CO2 nipple and bioballs:

The above is just a simple reactor that has no tube thru the center (Bottom to top flow).

You take a piece of PVC tubing, put endcaps on it, drill and tap for 3 barb fittings, done.

What is the advantage of CO2 injection? I thought this was for planted fresh water tanks. Will it help the pH that much that it's worth having a CO2 tank laying around?
