I had a couple of porcelain crabs in my tank for two or three months and they seemed to be doing well, hosting in my anthelia and mushrooms. I've seen them eat and fed the tank freeze dried zooplankton every couple of days to make sure they got enough. I recently bought a Pistol shrimp with the hopes that it would pair with my Pink Spotted Shrimp Goby or a ?yellow-fin shrimp goby? ( which is also MIA along with the purple firefish; see other thread ) that I planned on getting. Anyways, the pistol shrimp is doing well and must have molted at least once as its gotten bigger but as of a week ago I havent seen either crab. Last night I saw a claw of a crab. Now I dont know if they are hiding after molting or died or were killed and eaten. Could it have been the pistol shrimp? The crabs were about 1.5" across the carapace and the shrimp is about 2.5-3" long. The other inhabitants are two Percula clownfish, 3 PJ cardinals, 1 pink-spotted shrimp goby and possibly one purple firefish and one yellow high fin shrimp goby ( I dont know its exact name but I've seen it listed as that ).
