Tommarow i am going to get glass cut for my 75 gal sump/fuge. wall to wall inside the tank is 17 1/4" deep, when i get the glass cut should i have them cut it 17 1/4" (exact) or od 17 3/169?1mm shorter). i don't know,

i just did a 40g breeder and i cut the baffles 1/4" short for play if you cut the same size the tank will crack i did it to a 30g before the 40g trust me it was a mess good luck

I have to agree with Jason. You don't necessarily have to cut it 1/4" short, but definitely shorter. When you put a piece of glass between two stationary pieces of glass, cut to the exact size of the opening, there will be no way for you to rotate the glass so that it is perpendicular to the to fixed panes. At the angle of rotation, your baffle glass will be larger than the opening (basic geometry).
