I had to go to three hardware stores to get it all, but I got it to work.

I had to get pvc and put the thread adapters on the ends to connect the bulkhead to the ball valve. So I made the two connector pieces and built the return pipe with a 90 elbow and the thread adapter on the bottom. Will work nicely when it all dries, I think.

Thanks to everybody,

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, shoot me a PM if you have any problems. You've gotten some good information in this thread and some 'less than good information'. Too many cooks can spoil the broth and totally confuse you.

When I showed you how to connect the LocLine when I dropped everything off, I could have walked you through the rest. Remember, when you're connecting threaded parts, you MUST use Teflon Tape to 'seal' the threads.

Just shoot me Q's if you have any other issues.

You can connect the threaded bulkhead and threaded valve with schedule 80 nipples like these here. In your case you had slip but you can get threaded bulkheads also.

The nipples look like this

.

I like them better than gluing because they are easy to change. More chances to leak but if you teflon tape them they should be alright. Unions are very good also. I like to put them after the valve but you can always get true union ball valves.

This is what I did. I think it looks good. I have to get the clear spa hoses and metal hose clamps and throw my fuge under there, but this is the setup. It should work nicely, I have the ball valves so I can get the flow dialed in right.

Thanks to everyone who posted and helped out. let me know what you think.

Looks nice. Just curious, did you prime and cement the connection for the black ball valve? I saw the purple prime on the red ball valve circuit but not on the black one.
