As of now, few of you might now that I am upgrading my tank and I have another problem. I am planning on getting an overflow box with 2 outlets. One outlet is going to go to the sump w/protein skimmer, and is going to have a Quiet One 4000 rated at 1017gph as a return. The second outlet is going to go a seperate tank which is being used as a refugium and is going to have a CAP 1800 pump rated at 650gph. Is this going to cause a problem with the water level in the fuge/sump/main tank? I want slow water movement in the fuge. I want to maximize my total water volume, but dont have a lot of space underneath my tank, that is why I have to seperate the fuge and sump and place the sump next to the stand. Is this feasible or do I have to overhaul my plans?

if you have the refugium overflow into the sump then return back into the tank that would work fine.

or you could connect the sump and refugium

but your gonna need to connect them to regulate the water flow.

So what if I just use a 29 gallon sump/fuge all in one? Will that be sufficient for a 90 gallon tank?

29 gallon could be fine I wouldn't recomend putting 1600 gph through it.

as far as a skimmer I'd look into
ETSS reef devil 21" tall
ASM skimmer G-1 19" tall

Jawwad,

If you ball valve the second drain to the fuge and cut it so that the return pump can handle it (and it won't overflow), you can do it. This is also reliant on whether or not the balance of the drain that is not being allowed down the second drain can be handled by the first. If so, then it won't matter, but you do run the risk of flooding if not done properly.

Word to the wise, oversize your pump, you can always dial it down if you need to.

Oh by the way sean, the ASM skimmer will not be enought, I would need the one that is rated for atleast a 200 gallon tank cause my total water volume will probably be 140 gallons, and I want to oversize the skimmer a little bit. But what House said, might work, and if it does, I can just got the Berlin skimmer, because there wont be anything blocking the sump, but the fuge only has a 21" clearance.
