I see that i have a very minor issue of cyano on a piece of rock. I test my p04 and it says 0ppm (white color on chart). Obviously something's wrong here :duh: .Is it possible that my salifert test kit is expired if its reading 0ppm or could there be another problem?

you need to use a for sure test on phosphate. Hanna phosphate meter not the pocket one. also theres alot more that goes into you having cyano.

Please list everything about your tank...

-Water change schedule
-Skimmer
-Flow in the tank
-running phosphate removal media and carbon in reactors
-fuge
-lighting in the tank ect......
