I will be setting up a 20H next month and I am trying to decide how to stock it. I want something different, and fairly minimal. It will be a 20H with a Remora skimmer, LR and water from my established tank, a single 250W MH pendant, a crocea and various small corals. I want only one fish, and have been considering a dwarf lion, leaf fish, or frogfish. My concern with the dwarf lion is it might be slightly big for a 20 gallon tank. But I plan to buy small and I do have a 40 gallon tank I could set up if the need arises. I will have some sps frags and moderate current for them, and this creates a concern with the leaf fish and frogfish as they need lower current situations. I am thinking of having a top shelf of rock with my sps frags and moderate current, then lower current throughout the rest of the tank with perches for the fish. I am also worried about the high mortality rate with frogfishes and I am not fully decided on whether I want to contribute to that or not. In the end it will probably come down to what healthy specimen I can find and observe in a store, but I would appreciate anyone's opinions, suggestions, or experiences with any of these fish. I am also up for other suggestions.
