The Power-Save 1200 for Residential Applications
I had been research this unit for quite sometime now and results are with mix feedback. So I finally decide to get one
to test it myself. Below are detail of the test. I would like to share.
*POWER-SAVE 1200 INSTALLED @ MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL.with E-mon solid state KW/H meter
1.All electrical off and saver device unit off 0 demand power @ meter. no affect
2.All electrical off and saver device unit Turn ON read 4.5amps (.936KW) demand power @ meter. Cost more to use
3.All light off ref/frezzer on. saver device unit Turn off read 4.4amps (.915KW) demand power @ meter
4.All light off ref/frezzer on. saver device unit Turn ON read 4.8amps (.998KW) demand power @ meter. No saving and cost a bit more to use
5.Normal daily use light on ref/freezer on and saver device Turn off read 10.4amps(2.16KW) demand power @ meter
6.Normal daily use light on ref/freezer on .saver device Turn ON read 7.6amps (1.58KW) demand power @ meter 25% Energy saving
7.Normal daily use light on ref/freezer on & fish tanks light & pumps on saver device off read 14.5amps(3.01KW) demand power @ meter
8.Normal daily use light on ref/freezer on & fish tanks light & pumps on saver device Turn ON read 10.8amps (2.24KW) demand power @ meter
25% Enery saving
Ultimately I believe is not worth it if you have a small demand load less than 1.5 kw, It will cost you more then save you energy/money.
But for A home with 24/7 large demand load,It certainly appears that are savings.
plus I like the added benefit provided for power protection (TVSS is included within the unit) from surges,
