Powerhead for 20H

I am setting up a 20H Gallon tank, its 24x13x16. No sump for now. I not sure what powerhead to get for this size tank. Tried Maxi-jet 600 and Koralia 1, both seems to be two much current. Goal is to create enough circulation and movement.

Remora Skimmer with MJ1200
No Sump
Sunpod 150 Watts HQI
LR, LS
some frags of SPS, Blastoma, Zoos, ricordia, Clove Polyps, Candy cane.
Plan to get frogspawn and Green Toadstool.

It may be difficult to provide ample circulation/movement for SPS, while also maintaining candy canes, toadstools and frogspawn in the same 20g tank.

Yes, I am trying to balance the right movement. The Maxi-jet 600 is 160 gph.
I tried adding Hydor on it and it slows down the movement a bit.

More pumps meant less movement?!

place your Hydor on bottom corner and use mj near the surface to make surface waves

Thanks, I'll try that. My Koralia 1 ( 400 gph ) was also too powerful in that tank. My cloves couldn't open.

It might not be the flow that's keeping your cloves closed. I have the same tank with a tunze nano 6025(about 600gph) and a mag 5 I think on the return and it's still not too much for the tank. Softies and LPS are fine. Zoa's as well....

Like Dean said, how does adding another pump make the movement less?

Finally got it. Position the Koralia 1 on upper right hand corner shooting across at angle. All corals looks happy so far.
