Has anyone ever treated their tank prophylactically with FWE? I recently moved the contents from my 55 gal system into a new 75 gal system. The previous system had a flat worm problem which appears to have been successfully treated with FWE. Even though I can't find a single flatworm in my tank now, I am considering dosing the new system with FWE in order to make sure there are no more flatworms. I am working under the assumption that if I kill any remaining flatworms I can avoid the risk toxin release from the death of larger numbers in the future. New qt procedures will hopefully prevent there introduction in the future.

Any thoughts?

Many people use FWE to treat incoming frags ( squirt some drops into the bag or in a quarantine tank ). You could probably do it in your tank but unless you're absolutely certain there are FW's in it, why expose your inhabitants to a medication unneccesarily?
