protein skimmer for a 150 gallon fresh water tank

Hello...my boss has a 150 gallon fresh water tank without sump. He wants a protein skimmer hooked up to his tank. Please recommend me a skimmer that would work for him. It needs to be an external skimmer that would assist in cleaning his water. Please provide exact models and brands if any exist out there. Thanks...

skimmers are for saltwater will not work on freshwater from my understanding. a good canister filter or 2 will do a goid job keeping it clean
