Protien Skimmer going crazy

Just came home to my Eshopps PSK100 going crazy and over flowing. It has been in the tank for a little over a month and was working great. I have not changed anything in the tank. I did add a pistol shrimp that has been rearranging the sand quite a bit but I dont think that is it.

I have turned down the flow quite a bit and still producing allot of foam.

Any suggestions

is that the hanging one or the in sump one? i experienced that with my in sump one and it was due to the water levels being to high for the skimmer.... i would put something under the skimmer to raise it to the appropriate level...

it was working fine at the current water level.

Did u add the water the shrimp came in from the lfs??? Something in the their water could cause it. If u notice when you put your hands in the tank the skimmer will fluctuate
