Quarantine time period ????

What is the recommended quarantine time period for new fish for a reef aquarium if no disease is shown?

You'll find that varies from "none" to six weeks, depending on the reefer and what type of fish is involved. Personally I QT'd for 4 weeks if I trusted the supplier, more if I didn't. I'd rather have the hassle of the Q tank than introduce Ich or something nastier into my tanks FWIW.

I agree with LawDawg. QT for a few weeks and see how it goes... if you dont trust the supplier or a first time buy. minimum 4 weeks. Ick has a 30 day justation..... (spelling)?
