question about ai remote

Hello everyone and happy new year to all my reefer buddys. I need alittle bit of advice i recently got 2 hydras and am looking for 2 more so if anybody has some inblack i can pick up later tonight or tom morning if possible. Back on topic i dont have the last remote with the knob you turn i have the one before that with the up and sideway arrows. I find that i am following the steps first turn on the remote and the light then put the lights into that blinking mod from red to green, then i hit set up lights on the remote the remote finds the lights and say 2 hydras found but then its like the remote doesnt work after that it ask if left is blinking but its not and if i hit ok then it leaves that screen but doesnt control the lights i downloaded the manual and it says the remote is usable with the vega,sol,nano but on youtube i see people using the remote. I updated the data like maybe 8 months ago any ideas on what am doing wrong

Update remote to latest firmware. I used the same remote with my hydras with no issues

So I went home and updated the firmware to the latest one then I unplugged lights and remote then re plugged everything up, then put the lights to sync by led indicator blinking then hit set up new lights it found 2 hydras then said light firmware up date it did one at a time made the lights blink on and off then asked me if left was blinking but it wasn't then I tested it and it didn't work. I then unplugged and re synced then While having the lights found screen on another smaller screen came out in front of it saying get color failed and again the lights didn't sync what am I doing wrong do I need to get a new remote when I say all the lights turning on and of while the lights were updating I thought I had it
