For all intents and purposes, I consider them virtually the same. I'm sure there's some minor variations, but they're essentially the same, and both should be cared for in the same way. These are pretty demanding corals.

BTW, it's evident to me that vendors don't know which is which either. It seems some sell Sun Corals as T.aurea and others as T.faulkneri .
