Hey guys so I've been thinking about supplementing my MH lights with some LED's in the areas where my MH lights don't fully reach, primarily the right and left sides (also trying to add some color to the tank).. So I've been looking around for LED's and found some that are prewired and that look like they would be the right size for the area I'm looking for. The problem I'm having is that the lights are made to be "strobe lights".

It appears from the video that the lights are wired in a way that they connect to a controller box and then into the power outlet.

So my questions are:

-Do you guys think that there is any way to wire the LED's in a way that they will stay on steadily instead of flashing?

-Is the flashing caused by the controller box or are the lights wired to just flash?

-If I threw out the controller box and replaced it by a regular power source, would the lights stay on steadily?

I would assume that if the lights were hooked up straight to a power source, and not to this controller box, that they would stay on steadily, am I mistaken?

I've spoken to someone about this and he doesn't think my idea will work, I guess I'm just looking for confirmation. I have no clue about this stuff so any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
