question on marine plants halmedia

I just bought a small halemdia plant and it really doesn't have roots so my question is do I glue it to a rock or just stick it in the sand bed were does this plant usually grow on rocks or sand any help would be great thanks

Mine only grew well when I put it in rocks (no glue, just wedged). It died slowly in the sand.
