Question regarding AquaC RemoraC Skimmer

Hi,

I got a RemoraC that came with a Maxi1200, can I replace the Maxi1200 with a Mag 3 and will it make a big different in performance?

How big in size when comparing the Maxi1200 and Mag 3?

I have a Aqua C Remora Pro and I replaced the RIO that came with it with a mag 3.

Rio 800 or Maxi Jet 1200 - Remora
Rio 1400 or Mag Drive 3 - Remora Pro


These are the pumps listed on that site for the remora skimmers.


I would email them and ask them, there is contact info on that link and they are most helpful.

I just replaced the MJ1200 to a mag 3 on my urchin (not an urchin pro). It has increased my skimmate production with no visible adverse effects. I honestly dont know what the differences are between the standard models and Pro models...?

I would say you can replace the pump and you can always contact AquaC for information reguarding their products I hear they are always very nice and helpful.
