:? I have a 6 gal nano-it has been up for 2 months-have cleaner crew,ect. My corals are :2 feather dusters
1 candy cane
1 green torch
frag of zoos
1 sun polyps

I am feeding dt's and cyclopreeze (alterating) 1-1/2 ml of dt's and swish of cyclo-everyday - no target feeding. Not sure if that is all I have to do?also don,t know if they are placed in proper location for the lighting they need?
Next question- I have 0 Christalline algae on my live rock will it start soon? Thanks all..

I think you are feeding way too much. The sun polyps are the only thing you need to feed on a regular basis. Your feather dusters are about the only thing that will eat the phyto, and they dont need anywhere that ammount, as they eat other things too. They will do fine with just POM (particulate organic material) from your tank, the corals will ingest some POM, and also absorb DOM (dissolved organic material), and nitrogen. With this heavy feeding, coralline will have a hard time getting a foothold. Keep an eye on calcium alkalinity, and magnesium. That is the big three. keep them rock steady, and the coralline will come. If you really have zero coralline in your tank, you'll have to get some to seed it though. A few scarlet hermits would help, their shells have the thickest covering of different corallines.

I would check with some nano people, about an upgrade. The reason is the watt per gallon rule doesn't mean a thing. Say you have 30 watts for your 6 gallons, or 5 wpg, wich is the rule, right, LOL, you still dont have the light needed by those corals you have. Corals need a certain ammount of light wether in a 6 gallon tank or a 600 gallon tank, and it's likley your lighting does not provide that.
IMO corals do best under at least 175 watts of metal halide. I kept a 15 with a 175, but that may be too much for you. A 70 watter might work well.
