quicklime/limewater/calcium oxide

Anyone ever use it? Sounds like a good cheap solution. Drop it in your ATO and let it run... Where would I find it in NYC?

Quicklime is probably not food grade. You'd be better off with pickling lime. I don't know where to get it in the city, maybe pathmark?
