got my hanna LR photo meter on the 5th
I had .05 PPM phosphate in my tank
I checked my saltwater mix and found I had .06 PPM of Phosphate in fresh mix
I checked my R/O and found that I had .05 in my R/O water.
I cant remember when I changed the membrane last I use the r/o water in my house to for drinking ( have well water that is very hard) and cooking.
production never fell off so other than prefilters and DI/ resin nothing else was changed.
once I found out I was adding Phosphate in my top off and make up water for changes. I ordered new membranes. now I had a 150 per day membrane I bought another housing and membrane to double my production!
well it works great and I tested my R/O water and phosphates are zero!
I tested it 3 times during the day and once immediately after start up so I got the first 10ml out of the filter after a couple of hours of inactivity and still no phosphate!
I emptied the 55gallon drum I store my make up water and I plan on a couple of good sized water changes in next few weeks
