R/o unit question/ problem

Okay so my r/o is leaking from the spot in the picture that I am pointing to and I don't know how to fix it any ideas? I can't turn in to tighten it for some reason or loosen it

ok good idea but my next question is that my tubing the goes from the adaptor to the r/o unit seems to be fatter then the standard r/0 tubing with the rest of the unit so where can i get the adaptor for that??

Hey bud I always change my ro unit fittings to brass you can go to ur local hardware store for an adapter for the hose attachment n then some Teflon a 1/4 inch hose nipple n it will be fine I'll send a pic when I get home I have an extra piece if u want

Aren't you worried about the brass leaching something into your water. There is a reason everything is plastic and they use no metal, brass, copper, or iron.

The use of a brass sink adapter or copper pipe tap is OK. Its being pushed through the RO unit. I would never use anything brass to plumb a tank or after the output of the RO unit.

If you can unscrew the fitting (2 small pliers should do it) see if it uses a ferrule. They can sometimes be crimped or split. Apply 2-3 wraps of teflon plumbers tape to the male threads and re-assemble the fitting. Should stop the leak. If it is the ferrule a new one will likely solve the issue. Most good hardware stores, LOWES as well as HD all carry those fittings. They also have adapters to go from one size tube to another. Usually 3/8 to 1/4" is a popular fitting.

Pushing the tubing in will do no good as it is not a push-in fitting.

A lot of units with comp fittings use plastic ferrile with no insert and end up leaking.
Change over to the brass ferrile and insert sleeve and it won't leak...the insert is important to support the plastic line

Okay so I solved that problem but now when I turn the water on it fills up all the chambers except the last one so I am getting no clean water at all idk what could be wrong??
