I have a 30 gallon breeder I use as a refugium with a 5 in dsb that is on cinder blocks, I would like to raise it 8". Question is what is the best way to do it? Can I empty water out and raise it with sand in it or is that to risky?
Suggestions please
thx
I'd be worried about it cracking with that much weight. Maybe if you could find a way to slip a piece of plywood under the tank, then lift with the plywood..not sure if that would work, just thinking out loud.
Taking all the sand out, depending on how long its been in there is gonna cause a ton of problems..mixing the different layers of sand is going to pretty much kill everything in there
There is 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood under the tank but I agree not worth the chance of cracking it!
My issue is the way it drains into the sump, I think I'm going to replumb it rather than raise it.
Thx guys
