Hi,

Is it possible to recover a bleached Rose Bubble Tip Anemone to its orginal color? What needs to done in order for a miracle like this to happen? I know lighting and water perams are a must, but what suppliments and food does it need?

Any ideas/advice are appreciated.

THanks!

You're on the right track with great water params and lighting, also feed it meaty foods as often as it will take them to help it to have energy until the zoo re-establishes itself.

Bleached doesn't mean it's a lost cause by any means! Take a pic if you can and we can share in its progress...we loves pictures here ;)

I had a bleached sebae anemone. He's not bleached any longer. He's purple. It took about 4 months to get back it's color though.

Okay, had to get your thoughts on this....my recovering bleached rbta just barfed/crapped out the food I fed it today. 8O It was undigested and whole. Is this normal? I fed it krill today and I have been alternating raw shrimp every other day as well. This is the first time it has happened. Any insights/comments are much appreciated.

Could be that simply overfed, I've read about others having that happen but have never experienced it myself. I'd keep an eye on it, not feed it today and see how it goes. It looks the same otherwise?

yes it looks the same....maybe a tiny bit more swelled up than normal. The tenticles aren't as inflated either. Maybe it has indigestion  Poor thing!

Here's a pic of my anemone I'm attempting to recover. It used to be a beautiful rose color when it was purchased my my parents almost a year ago, but things haven't gone so well in a while.

Anyway, this is the way it loos when the lights are on - kind of in a hiding mode. I have found out that it loves raw shrimp versus krill. Fed it last night and this morning (lights off) it was out and about looking really happy.

Thoughts/insights appreciated.

sorry for the bad pic, but it looks like my anemone is starting to split. It has two feet now that are on different sides of the rock.

Shall I, can I still, continue to feed it while it's going over the splitting process?

Thanks! :)

If I recall correctly they usually won't take food while they are splitting. Offer food, if it doesn't take it I wouldn't worry too much as there isn't anything you can do about it.
