Re starting system....

My pump died on me last week so I replaced it with the pump from my GF cycling tank....its been a week and I'm getting pump via UPS today....all I had in her tank running was the heater and a powerhead with an airline shooting bubbles in the tank guessing that would keep the water moving and aerated....when i restart the system should i do a big water change....???
