Ready For An Upgrade

i been wanting to change my lighting in my system and buy a good RO/DI but the only problem was the money :headache::sad2:

now the wait is over lol
ive searched and looked around to see what lighting im going to get
people have suggested me a bunch of stuff so im really undecided on what to get

since the majority of you know way more than me about all this lighting, PAR , brands etc...ill show you guys my options

I know Ati is better than The Tek fixtures but im not trying to get a SPS dominant tank.. its going to a mixed reef... but idk if it would be worth it buys the tek instead of the ATI or buying the used Tek and just change the bulbs

also whats the best Bulb Combination for this fixtures???

get the ati so that if you do ever decide to keep sps or clams ect you already have the light for it, straightjiggy has a ati f/s

Most ppl start off not liking sps but as they progress in the hobby want to try them ! it's definitely good advice too get the best equipment u can afford!

I had that Tek for sale. I grew clams on the sand bed and sps at excellent rates. The output from the Tek was great. You cannot go wrong with that light. I dont think anyone is overdriving the bulbs anymore so with good reflectors you are getting about the same output from everyone. What is important with these fixtures is the number of bulbs 6 or 8 bulbs and if there is cooling to prolong the bulb life..

i dont know alot about lighting but from what ive seen and heard...Tek lightis are pretty good in terms of keeping sps and clams.
