I have a friend who needs some help he has the tank set up I listed above and wants to add an over flow and a sump and new skimmer. Can anyone give me some ideas I can maybe run them by him ?

You'd be modding a RSM 250D. You have to somehow fit an overflow box or make your own custom one into the back chambers. I don't think you can drill the back glass on those tanks.

I would call rsm the lady to talk to is penny, and ask if the tank is tempered in the back panel, if not i would just drill it out, I modified my solana this way and hooked it into my main system

I'm not a big guy on overflow boxes, they fail eventually and you'll have a mess! I actually had a float switch in the overflow which would power down the main pump if the overflow failed. Then I had to worry about....., ah just drill lol!

If you can drill the back glass, I've a glass drill press from BRS . I wouldn't mind giving a hand, all you would need is the bit.
