RedSea send me a replacement titrant free of charge. You can see that the color of the new titrant on the right is more red and the old (defective) one is more orange. The color change is now from blue to pink/red. very easy to read and I get the same reading as salifert.

I'm done with Red Sea Alk test kits. I've had my bottles of red titrant turn orange 3 times. There is obviously a flaw in their product. This doesn't sound like a big deal but when performing the test, it's very difficult to tell when the color change happened. Going back to Salifert.
