reef bug by marc weiss? if it is it sucks i rarely use it just buy some cyclopezee, some oyster eggs, and some type of live phyto. what are u feeding the reef bugs to?
Garbage- just like the majority of the Weiss products. (IMHO)
Try reef chili to feed your corals and I use oyster eggs as well only they are kind of expensive. I took 5 lbs of live sand from a good friends established reef and dumped it in my fuge with the macro algae and some live rock. Life is teeming in my tank.
Wasn't sure whether to start a new thread or not but since there was one already I thought I would piggyback onto it and maybe within the 2 years since this was posted maybe a few more people had experience with this product:
reef bugs is a waste of money. just like the other guy said "weiss products are all waste". that guy started with freshwater discus
garbage because that's where all the hobbyists were spending the bucks
and now he has invaded the saltwater community.
Thanks for all the replies, my curiosity was piqued when browsing through a seahorse website some people have mentioned that these were helpful in raising fish fry. Does anyone have any left for sale?
i second that, waste of money!
its liquid pollution =)
if you want to feed your corals try culturing your own phyto and rotifers! .... its fun stuff =)
here's a good article on phyto http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/aug2002/breeder.htm
