Anyone had issues with High P04's with this salt mix?I'm using RO/DI and constantly changing the Filters and testing at 0 on the TDS.Considering switching salts.

I had issues with the mag on it. Moved to Red Sea. Love it.

I'm using RC salt and loving it my calcuim is on 420 and salt level on 1.023 and PO4 not that high but its on 0.5

Yeah man,I need to change.There was a thread a while back listing all the brands and chemistry breakdown.I believe it was higher than most brands.Only Seachem had the lowest.

I use reef crystals. My phosphates are only trace.

I never had an issue with PHOS, but I normally make my WC water like 1.022 then I dose manually (mag,alk,cal) to even it out.

I used to do 1.026 with Reef C, but my mag was like 1800 (i made a thread on it). I switched to ESV, but its such a pain to use, I just use the stuff now to dose.

I use rc never had a phos problem .I just bought a bucket off red se I did some reading and most of the salt used in red sea is actually from the sea .its kinda like dd h2 ocean salt which I loved but its kindda hard to get out in long island for a decent price .

Did you mean 0.05? Or 0.5? 0.5 is alot for freshly mixed saltwater.

Typical ocean surface phosphate concentrations are very low by reefkeeping standards, sometimes as low as 0.005 ppm.1

At concentrations below about 0.03 ppm, the growth rate of many phytoplankton species depends on the phosphate concentration (assuming that something else, such as nitrogen or iron, is not limiting their growth). Above this level, many organisms' growth rate is independent of phosphate concentration.1 So, to deter algal growth by controlling phosphate, aquarists need to keep the phosphate levels quite low.

I had the same problem with my old tank using Reef Crystals but after dumping 60g of water i realize it was my RO filters need replacing...:banghead:
