the xp1000sss is a great skimmer, i ran one on my 75g tank w/ 75g sump, it works awesome.

Why do skimmers get rated up to 125 gallons? I'm using an old school change the wooden blocks skimmer and I need to upgrade. I'll buy it if it works for my 125 plus the 35 gallons in the sump. Or is there a reason for the rating?

the size of the body
I guess can't handle more than 125G of water plus the
heaviest the bio load the bigger you need
